IRT Xellos: Cool!

IRT Cataferal: Of course! They'll be your best spent 20$ or whatever money Xenosaga costs. Good luck at finding it and chipping your console.

IRT Ral-kun: Cool! You'll be able to watch my vast selection of imported anime.

I've been playing UT2k4, proving it not to be better than Halo. Is that driving? And why are the cars like bricks?

Of course, I get stuck in XG about 6 hours in.

Stupid Calamity. My poor gears can't do enough damage to him >_<

I can't stand Halo because of the slow combat, and crappy sniping. For me, UT the original is much better than Halo. Might be different for you.

Halo is artistic in it's combat. UT needs no skill. I could do tons of frags in UT, it's too easy. Halo you need to think, the shield system is what gives a bonus edge to it.

Of course, UT is still a good game, but Halo>UT. It's a law of physics.

IRT Xellos: Calamity is hard, I'm afraid, but just keep trying. You'll eventually win. There's not much you can do to power up your gears in Xenogears; buying the latest stuff they sell is the best option. You could try to level your characters up before that fight, but I don't know if that'll do a lot. Maybe a guide has better hints for it. Let's see what they say:
You will be fighting a STRONG gear named Calamity very soon so now you'll need to tune up your gear. Buy the best as possible if you can afford them. If not, don't worry, you'll be fighting more enemies later and you can get money from them after defeating them.

I would say Calamity is one of the harder bosses in Disk one, so get your level as high as possible, and it would be good to take Bart on foot and Fei in gear, get Bart's other deathblow, that lets him use his T S combo. People say that leveling up doesn't affect your gear, that isn't true, the higher your level is, the better your evade and speed, you also get more confidence when fighting, so level up, enemies here gives out good experience. After you are ready, refuel at Old Man Bal's cave and go past the sand barrier
<font size="2" face="Verdana,sans-serif">Note from myself: No way. S****** is the hardest boss in the game period, because no matter how strong you are, it's all about luck.

My advice is to use booster in this fight so that you can use your speed to your advantage. You should also use your level one combos as soon as they become available. If you still do not have the combos then continuous X button attacks will have to do. You can also use Bart's Wild Smile Ether skill to lower Calamity's ACC/EV. Fei's Guided Shot Chi skill works as well but doesn't do that much damage. I would just stick to normal fuel attacks. Calamity has three types of attacks. One of them causes around 130 HP of damage while the other one is more powerful and can cause around 500 HP of damage. The last one is a weak one that does roughly 50 HP of damage. The amount of damage also depends on your current level (I think) and your defense statistics.
<font size="2" face="Verdana,sans-serif">
Put on Booster as soon as you start. Finger Bullet does 0 damage, so don't bother. Use Skills instead: Fei's T,S and Bart's T,T (unless you made Bart fight outside the Brigandier, in which case he could have learnt T,S, but it's not worth the trouble). His evade rate is almost nil (he does block sometimes, though), so you can abuse Cross attacks: they only do around 70 damage, however. Bart's T,T does around 180, and Fei's T,S around 200.

Calamity's punches do about 140 damage, and throwing arms around 200, but since you can't heal your HP yet, they're not to be taken lightly. Bad news is that he has a spread missile attack that hits for 450 damage or so, but he doesn't do it often. Furthermore, he's quite slow, so with Booster on, you should be able to get in two actions per character for each one of his. All in all, it shouldn't be too difficult.
<font size="2" face="Verdana,sans-serif">I hope this helps.

I bought Jade Cocoon for ?3 today, theres no way that its money poorly spent, even if its average! And then ive got to dish out ?75 for a gameboy advance and Final fantasy Crystal Chronicles.
I have a fatal attraction to Final Fantasy, ive recently discovered. FFX-2 has absorbed every second of my spare time as of late, leaving absoutely no time for any work. I still havent beaten it all yet, and they're bringing out another one in 12 days! This is my year!
Im glad im getting Xenosaga over the summer, as opposed to importing it now; i would never have found the time.

You can dodge fine if you know where to move. I managed to sidestep a banshee for 2 minutes, then i got ran over by a warthog.

Besides, the shield allows you to retreat, and attack again without having to get a health pack. It's all quick thinking and stratagy. Why charge in the front, when you sneak round the back and kill them with a smack to the back of the head.

How does Halo have poor sniping?

I understand the Pistol is extremely good in the hands of a good player and most any weapon is (save Plasma Rifle, the Needler and Plasma Pistol). Using a R Launcher correctly requires you to understand it. If someone is close and you want to Rocket them you need to jump and shoot near their feet. If they are far away your best back is their back is turned and they are sniping in the opposite direction unless you are just clearing out a nest.

It's easy to dodge a rocket and/or nade. I can dodge most every Ghost (duck under it), watch for a Hog, and if you can't dodge a tank then you suck.

To be good at Halo you don't need to be an uber 1337 sniper. You just need not to be a complete n00b, like with any game. Sticking a plasma nade to a Hog is like second nature to me. Besides you can always play on a map like Battle Creek where they are no scary Banshees to dodge.

Another thing that may help you is if you put your look sensitivity on 7 or higher. I keep mine on 10.

I don't like how you have set levels of zoom. I prefer one like UTs, where it depends on hwo long you hold it.

I mean dodge thigns like in a game of instagib with machine gun rate fire, wher eone hit is an instant kill. Plus adrenaline kicks ass.

The UT shield can be used the same way...

And anyways, like I said before: In FPS, I don't liek slower more realistic style. I prefer the faster less realistic style of gameplay, which UT has.
